There were five more Clouded Yellows in my garden today. Also of note, a mating pair of Common Blues, two male Brimstones and a Red Underwing (they are huge!). In 2025, there was a a very significant emergence of Brimstones on September 19th (and seen for the following 3-4 days). This year there has been only one website record of Brimstone for the past 48 days, and that was at Cootham on September 14th. It will interesting to see if there are many records of Brimstone in the next few days.
