Butterfly sighting
Report Details
On the way back up to Notts now after a quick visit to another great Sussex site. Thanks Martin for the replies and making me welcome on the site. One last question. The pictured butterfly may not look too different but in flight looked pretty white. Do you think Helice or Pale Clouded Yellow?

You are very welcome, Jim, and do come again, and send us your sightings. I stand to be corrected, but your record of 100+ third brood Small Heaths at Petworth Park, is unprecedented. Yet another county record. We seem to having many of these in the past couple of years. Climate change! "Pretty white" in flight is saying to me a "helice female Clouded Yellow".  Martin K
