We found a new species for Thorney Island this afternoon, a superb female Brown Hairstreak which was showing extremely well flying around and landing on a bramble bush etc.

An excellent record, Barry and Margaret. In 2025 there was a record from Cobnor (SW of Chichester) and now we have one, even further west, in Thorney Island. Looking at the distribution maps for the 1990-1994 and 2010 - 2014 county surveys, there are no records that far west. Martin K
